Today, Ms. Goldin put on a film for us and it's called "Harold and Maude." For some odd reason, my first impression of this movie was that it's strange and trippy. The film was actually humorous as well. It may seem strange and trippy but there are times where it's just flat out hilarious. A good thing about this movie that I noticed was the background music they constantly played. The beginning is quite confusing but hopefully I'll start to pick up the plot as the film progresses. So far, it seems like the mother of Harold is trying to get him to live the life she wants him to live and he tries to drift away from his current life. It's evident that Harold fakes his death in order to gain his mother's attention. As he continues to fake his death, his mother is starting to get fed up with all this nonsense and she sends him somewhere to get some counseling.
Since we didn't finish watching the movie, I'll add more to this blog when I'm finished watching the film...
